Light that an optical fiber can diffuse is necessarily limited by the flow which can enter into its section.
To increase the flow returned we group fibers into cables.

Diffusing cables are generally made of 7, 19 or 37 optical fibers. Beyond that, light doesn't propagate well. |

We have got the skills to manufacture cable lighting homogeneously up to 15/20 meters in length and only fed by one side.
To exceed this length, cables must be supplied by both ends.
We apply the Excel-Ray treatment symmetrically, so we can obtain 50 meters lengths cables without any weakening of the light in the middle of the diffusing cable.

Cables are sheathed in a flexible sheath but may also be in form of rigid tubes.
They are usually supplied with 150W iodide generators to get the maximum light.
